Before I launched on the World Race a question I was often asked was, “What will you do when you get back?”
When I launched in January I left the States and everything I knew to travel across the world to share the love of Jesus with anyone and everyone I came in contact with. I left to build the Kingdom, pursue Jesus, and serve as much as I could.
I left not knowing what I would do when I came back.
I strapped on my pack, got on a plane, and left full of hope and expectation that the Lord would do something amazing.
God has been faithful over and over and over again. He has gone above and beyond anything I could have ever imagined.
Through everything I am incredibly grateful that the Lord called me to this adventure.
And I am incredibly grateful that He has continued to call me to adventure.
Although there is still a little over 3 months left on the Race (Crazy, I know!) the Lord has revealed the next part of my journey. And while I am being very intentional about being present on the Race, I also know it’s important to plan for the future and let my biggest supporters know what my next step looks like.
So, what comes next?
I’m SUPER excited to announce that I will be attending G42 Leadership Academy in March 2019! G42 is a 9 month discipleship school based in Mijas, Spain. While there I will continue to cultivate leadership skills, learn more about the Word, gain ministry tools, and become more like Jesus as I seek His Kingdom first.
G42 is split up into three parts:
First Three Months
In the classroom in Mijas, Spain. Teachings in the first three months are focused on the core teachings of Christ, developing a “well worn path to the tree of life”, and becoming men and women who cannot be stopped in our pursuit of Christ and His Kingdom.
Middle Three Months
On the field, practicing and applying the concepts taught in the first three months, and actively becoming “God with Skin On”. Interns will practice living above the fog, not circumstantially or emotionally, as they release the Kingdom of God.
Last Three Months
Back in the classroom solidifying revelations learned, sharing practicum lessons, and celebrating together. Teaching will focus on practical application, and preparing interns to launch into a new way of life after G42.
I’m excited to continue building on the foundations the Lord has been laying on the Race. One of my biggest hopes for G42 is continuing to learn what it looks like to practically walk out my faith; ministry is life, life is ministry. We never come off the mission field, y’all.
The Lord has shown me over and over again that we are meant to do this life together. It’s something I’ve learned from my friends and family at home and from my World Race squad. I am so grateful for the people who faithfully walk alongside me and share this adventure with me.
This year, traveling to build the Kingdom, is not something I could do on my own. It has been a collaborative effort that has resulted in changed lives and Kingdom growth, and it’s not over yet! I’m excited for the God stories yet to come and thankful for all the support along the way.
As I step into the last few months of the Race, I would like to invite you to prayerfully consider supporting me on the next step of the journey. G42 costs $10,500, which includes all room and board, tuition, and flights to and from the middle three month practicum. If you feel lead to partner with me financially you can donate here.
Lastly, please continue to join me in prayer both for the last leg of the Race and for this new and exciting adventure. I’m excited to continue sharing this life with you all.
With great love,
Chels
