Beautiful mountains, amazing sunsets, and the place I got to do one of the things I love most. That’s how I would describe Lesotho.

All month we got to do various ministries. Speaking at the prison, gardening, hosting church, and hospital feedings are some of them. However, the ministry I enjoyed most was working in Tebo’s sewing shop.

For those of you who may not know me as well, I studied theatre with an emphasis in costume design at SFASU. Designing, sewing, creating, and working with others are among some of my favorite things to do.

Throughout this year the Lord has reminded me of my great passion for theatre and costume design. To be completely honest, for a while I was trying to stay as far away from theatre as I could. I didn’t want to get hurt again or start walking down the dark path the Lord saved me from.

However, almost everyday while we were in Bosnia (month 6) I walked passed the National Theatre, and the Lord used that to spark my passion for theatre again.

He’s given me a dream that I’m really excited about: to work as a Costume designer and come alongside young artists who are learning and trying to figure things out.

The theatre world can be an incredibly dark place, people can get lost so easily; but Jesus wants to meet everyone where they are, and I want to be a part of that.

God has been dropping hints, giving me vision, and reminding me of my passions, but being able to sew in Lesotho was a huge confirmation. I got to do what I love, help out an awesome woman, and even teach some of my teammates a thing or two about sewing.

All of it combined was like the Lord telling me that I’m on the right path and that no matter what may come, He’s with me.

I’m excited to see what comes next for me in the theatre world. I’m excited to learn, grow, and serve. I’m excited to continue sharing this life with you all as I move into the next step with G42 and whatever else the Lord may bring up along the way.

With great love,
