Oh, Training Camp, where do I begin?

It’s hard to process what happened in those ten days in Georgia.  I vaguely remember arriving on the World Race campus and everything else seems like a blur.  The days were jam packed with worship, sessions, team building, and an abundance of adventures.

Those ten days felt like a lifetime and after they were over I had an incredibly hard time leaving.  I came out of training camp a different person than when I went in.

It was amazing to see how God moved in such a short amount of time.  I was reminded of how powerful and wonderful the God we serve is.  Between healing parts of myself that I didn’t even realize needed to be healed and seeing how he worked in my new family I am in such awe of our Lord.

I saw the Lord touch each and every one of us in such specific and unique ways.  I saw Him heal and restore.  I saw the strength He has and gives freely to us.  I saw how deeply He loves every one of His kids.

The community I experienced at TC was unlike anything I had ever seen before.  For ten days we were packed in like sardines (which was awesome because it was freezing), shared everything, prayed for each other, loved each other, and formed bonds that can never be broken.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a group of people fall in love with each other so quickly.  E Squad is made up of some of the best and most genuine people I have ever met.  The love that radiates from my squad is almost overwhelming but in the best way.

I am beyond excited to be traveling around the world with people who look like Jesus.  The love of the Father shines through my squad and I can’t wait to see how it will change the world.

Training Camp has left me with a little taste of what the World Race will be like, and I want more.  In two months I’ll launch with my fellow Jesus lovers and go out to share the gospel, heal the sick, love the least of these, and grow in tremendous ways.

That’s all I’ve got for now.  There will be more to come when I’ve fully processed everything.  (:

With great love,

Chels

P.S. Here’s my squad, aren’t they adorable?
