Month 11 is here. Is this real life? Somedays it feels like we have been gone from the States for years. But most days, it feels like it was just yesterday that I was hugging my mom goodbye. Boy, does time really fly.
So I wanted to give a quick update on what I am doing for my last month on the World Race.
Everyone on our squad had the opportunity to pray about what they wanted their month 11 to look like. Well actually, what the Lord wanted their month 11 to look like. After much prayer, we all got together to form teams so that people who got similar ideas from the Lord could be put together.
As I was praying, I really felt like the Lord wanted me to go back to San Jose, Costa Rica for my last month to work with Conexion ministries again like I had in month 10 as well as to find new opportunities for ministry in the city. I felt like He wanted me to continue to cultivate the relationships I had already built. I didn’t feel peace about leaving, knowing I hadn’t quite finished the work the Lord had for me in San Jose. He told me that there was still much more I needed to learn from the ministry but most importantly, from the people. He wanted to give me a second chance.
So we hopped on a bus back from Jaco, Costa Rica (the hot and the humid) to San Jose (the cool and dry). Praise. And we are ready to finish this race strong, eager to get home to share all about what we have learned.
I am so excited for my last month. Not exactly sure what it all entails, but gosh I find so much peace knowing that my almighty Father is planning it.
See ya soon, America.
