This is my squad! These are the people that I spent the last 10 days with at training camp and the people I will be spending the next 11 months of my life with (well, starting in August). There are 26 of us so we are a small squad, but we are NOT small in spirit. We are strong men and women of God. We are creative and fun and vulnerable and caring and willing to give. We are great dancers! (#1 in the dance off!) We are V Squad!!!

Our squad is broken down into smaller teams that we will work with for an indefinite amount of time. As a team, we pick a name that symbolizes something for us as a group and represents our vision for the year.

Jessica: paramedic who loves sushi
Amber: on her first mission trip to Nicaragua RIGHT NOW
Sami-Jo: has the longest name of anyone I know and loves sloths
Emma: HATES spiders and LOVES Disney!
Jenna: avid runner and an ER nurse
Taylor S: works with tiny babies for a living (NICU nurse) and apparently really loves flour 😉

Kelley: has super gorgeous, curly hair and unfortunately was sick half of camp 🙁

Julia G: full of surprises…she sings and dances and plays soccer and so much more
Hannah: took dance for 12ish years and is half Canadian
Niki: has such a fun and crazy personality
Lizzy: my giraffe! 🙂 also worked in a children’s home in Uganda for around 5 months
McKenzie: loves to dance and is kind of a hippie in the best possible way

Oriolyne: pronounced Oralyne (in case you were wondering) and she is so sweet and sassy
Daniel: likes to sit in the same spot at session whenever possible and is from New Mexico
Rachel H: can play guitar and piano and is an ICU nurse
Abby: the “baby” of the group but you would never know it because she’s a spitfire
Ryan: has a gift for preaching and is a secret thug
Taylor W: used to teach Zumba and is always willing to help others
