After my last night as I nurse at Trident, while on the elevator that morning as I was leaving, the thought came to me that I’m not a nurse anymore. That is not my identity. This got me to thinking, what is my identity now? Do I have one? But, you know, your identity doesn’t come from your profession. It doesn’t come from your role as a mother or father or son or daughter. It doesn’t come from how you look or the car you drive or the type of music you listen to.

No, your identity is in Christ, and so is mine.

I will always have an identity because I am a Christian and have a relationship with Jesus Christ. I am a daughter of my heavenly Father. I am a princess because He is the King. I am the temple of the God of the universe.

Even if I’m a nurse again one day or even if I’m not, that is my identity. That will always be my identity.

“And you are living stones that God is building into his spiritual temple. What’s more, you are his holy priests. Through the meditation of Jesus Christ, you offer spiritual sacrifices that please God…’Once you had no identity as a people; now you are God’s people’…” -1 Peter 2: 5; 10

***As a beloved child of God, I want to share that love with others. I feel He is calling me to go on the World Race to do just that. I want others to know that their identity is in Christ, just like mine!

To be able to launch in August, I still need to raise around $2500, before July 21st. Please donate, so that I can share true love in 11 countries around the world! (You can donate on this blog, using the orange “Donate” button at the top.)
