One of my teammates had an idea to offer a time for people to come up and receive prayer at the end of the church service, an altar call of sorts. Tonight at church was the first time we were going to do it, and I wasn’t sure how the people would respond. It can be scary to go to the front and ask for prayer from a pastor or person you know, let alone a group of gringos (white girls) that you only met two weeks ago. During the service, I prayed and asked God to send one person to the front, just one.
We opened the floor for people to come to the front, and to my amazement, almost every single person came forward for prayer. There was no hesitation from anyone. It was a little overwhelming, but in the most wonderful way. I only asked for one, but God sent so many more. God showed up and revealed to me some of His heart for His people here in Zolano, as well as His very real presence at Iglesia Cristo Centro.
