Last night, we stayed at the farm for one of my teammate’s birthdays. I had originally planned to wake up to see the sunrise, but before going to sleep, I decided not to set my alarm. I told myself I could see it another morning. But, God had other ideas. Because so many other people were waking up, I woke up, and I couldn’t go back to sleep.
Here’s what I found out: Sometimes God wants to wake you up for the sunrise, just so He can show you how beautiful He thinks you are.
As I watched the sun rise over the trees, God told me that He thinks I’m more beautiful than this sunrise or any sunrise. He reminded me that I am made in His image. I’m so glad He “forced” me out of my warmth and comfort so that He could romance me through the sunrise.
