What looks as something innocent and delicate, actually is strong and has enough energy to knock someone off his feet. That little force of energy, if allowed, could eventually stop someone’s heart. One open space for it to travel, and it can be free to travel wherever it pleases.
Sin is like that at times. You think, “oh it’s no big deal, it’s just a ‘little’ sin”. Or maybe you think, nobody actually recognizes this as sin because it’s more of a cultural thing”. As soon as you begin putting those ideas inside your mind, it ignites. It ignites a powerful energy, that if allowed cannot be controlled. And once it’s released, it can leave a deadly trail.
However, there is a power that is so much greater. There is a power that is more consistent and never changing. And it’s not a temporary boost. It doesn’t reveal itself just to get you re-started. It’s a power that is constantly re-charging. And each charge becomes more powerful. Jesus is a constant power source for me. He’s there when I’m weak. He’s there when I’m tired. He’s there when I’m happy. He’s there when I’m sad. No matter what the need. He is there.
