Month 6 has arrived. It’s hard to believe that we are nearly halfway finished with the World Race. At the end of month 4 we received new teams. I wasn’t really nervous about it. I knew they were coming. But I won’t lie. My heart was beating a little faster than normal as they handed me that slip with my new team assignment.
I lived life with 6 incredible women known as “Awakened Warriors“. We laughed, we cried, we prayed (a lot), we walked in the light together. And now, I get to begin a new part of the journey.
When praying and discussing what our new team name would be, we all agreed on one word. Fearless. Through this year, and through our lives, we’ve dealt with some pretty big fears. However, this year has taught us that we are not alone, and we have no reason to fear. So now, we walk in the Lord, knowing that we should fear less. So I introduce to you: Team Fearless (Left to Right at debrief in Malaysia: Our “fearless leader” Hilary Hannigan, Lauren “Ansley” Purser, Me, Jennie McMullin, Melanie Wells, Eva Cranford, & Lauryn Gondek.
These incredible women are walking along with me for the next several months. Our squad has endured hardships. Some we never imagined facing ever, let alone on the World Race. (An accident, and earthquake, etc.) We also did say good bye to a dear friend and squad-mate, Jennie. She heard the Lord telling her to return to Seminary. Jennie, we’re so happy for you. We miss you. But we love you, and look forward to seeing what the Lord is doing in your life. You will always be a part of Team Fearless.
Be praying for us as we begin month 6.
