Earlier this month our squad said farewell to two incredible people, Dustin Mick and Kaylaynn. They served us well these past 5 months, and now they have raised up new squad leaders. This incredible man and woman of God has been such a blessing to us. We miss ya’ll already.

Since arriving to Penang we’ve had many experiences. Especially with food. These interesting green noodles are a Malaysian dessert. Chendul: cold noodles, kidney beans, in iced brown sugar. It actually wasn’t terrible, just different.

“Teacher! Teacher!” It’s a common thing heard throughout the week. We’ve had the joy of helping teach English in multiple places all over the city. These precious faces have melted my heart. And they love taking photos.

They love making the “peace” sign.

They also love selfies.

And of course, learning to read. 🙂

Some of my squad-mates are still looking for supporters. Shout out to my teammate Lauryn. She still has a little farther to go before July 1st (our final deadline). Click on the link to learn more about this amazing woman!
