It was such a God thing that our team got connected with a ministry in Iquitos, Peru in November through the unique avenue of Pinterest. On November 16th, Rudolpho (Rodo) picked us up from the ferry terminal in motor cars, eager for us to be a part of his ministry for the week. We weren’t quite sure what our time with him and his family would look like, but we were excited for what God had in store for us.
Rodo and his wife, Saraid, invited us into their lives and into their ministry. We were able to join in a construction project, hand out food, coffee and a birthday cake in drug holes, make bracelets for street kids and hand out anti-parasite medicine. One of my favorite aspects of the week definitely was living with this family that is wildly on fire for God.
Rodo and this ministry are truly bringing the Kingdom of God to their community. Our team was really blessed and thankful for our time together, leaving with a greater understanding of God’s love for the lost and broken.
I hope you can catch a glimpse of what God is doing through this ministry by watching the video below!
