Am I really already on the World Race?? It still doesnt feel real..

Sooo wow!! God is so so good! I have been on this journey for only a week so far and I have already seen and learned so much! When I first heard we were coming to Guatemala, I wasn't jumping for joy. I really didnt know much about it and I honestly didnt think I would like it. God sure did show me how wrong I was.  Guatemala is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen.  It is so green and there are mountains and hills everywhere.  I think the people here are even more beautiful than the landscape.  Guatemala has stolen a little piece of my heart and I have only been here a week!

So we flew in from Guatemala City and made an almost 4 hour bus ride, on one of the curviest roads might i add, to Santa Cruz del Quiche. We are staying at Agape in Action which is located right next to the hospital.  This hospital treats a averages of 1 million people.  People walk from villages that are hours away just for treatment. So the whole squad is together this month which doesn't happen very much! It has been so awesome getting to live in community with these people! God had been doing some amazing things through us.  I have seen person after person get up in front of everybody and share their story of brokenness.  We are not perfect people, we will never be.  We have all have sin. Whatever that sin might look like for us, we have locked it deep inside of us, sometimes so deep we forgot what it was in the first place.  This week i have seen person by person from my squad get up and share with the group what it was, what burden we felt we needed to carry because we were so ashamed or whatever the reason may be.  I saw these people ( me included) write it on a piece of paper and throw it in a bowl and light it on fire! We gave God back his stuff. It wasn't our to begin with.  Instead we placed a truth inside of us.  A truth that we have always known but have never believed, well for me at least.
I AM FREE
WE ARE FREE

"We can often feel like we're but a pile of broken glass laying in shambles across the floor, and that God is nowhere to be found. In those moments, remember that every beautiful stained glass window was once a messy mound of broken glass.

God hasn't left us to lie in pieces; He's the artist working to take our brokenness and turn it into something wonderful! Hand Him your brokenness and let Him show you your potential!" written by Adam Gonzales
