last night the girls of my squad were redeemed in a way we never thought we ever would be.

Our squad parents;
Jay and Denise spoke to us last night.
Jay began to apologize to us,
he began to confess his past with lust and the sexual sins he committed before he was married.
Then he did something I never thought would ever happen,
he looked at us and said this;
"I'm sorry on behalf of all the men that have treated you like meat and not like precious daughters of God.  I'm sorry  for all the hurt that we as men have caused you, I'm truly, truly, sorry."

then he addressed the men of our squad and told them to close their eyes and listen.
He told them that if they were ready and thought they needed to that they were going to do something that men don't do, they were going to look at us in the eyes and apologize.
The men of my squad stood up and went to every single one of us and gave us their own apology, not only for themselves but for the past men i our lives that have taken something from us that wasn't theirs to take.

Every single women in my squad was in tears, including myself.
Never in my life did I ever expect to experience something so honorable and courageous.
These men stood in the gap for us and sincerely honored us.

Jesus spoke that night,
he revealed his heart to us, and redeemed the things of our past that were robbed from us.

I don't care who you are, you have been mistreated by someone in some way and you have been robbed of something.
Im sorry you haven't gotten an apology, but Jesus is standing in that gap for you.
Ultimately it wasn't our men apologizing, it was Jesus.
He was healing his children and showing us how much he cares.

Tis community is so beautiful,
and Jesus in this community is abundantly incredible,
