In case you were not aware…OU beat texas on Saturday, 28-20. My family and I were in OKC for the weekend, so we got together with our old friends, John and Mary, and watched the game like old times. New additions to the festivities were Jenn, Marcus, Shaun, and Jenn’s dad. It was a great day with memories, touchdown dances, and of course an OU victory. No better way to spend a game day that amongst friends whilst facebook mouthing all my texas fan friends…

The OU game was just icing on the cake, the real reason my family and I were in the metro was to kick off a revival week at the Kingspark Bible Baptist Church. Dad is preaching a series called, “Running Towards Goliath,”  I was only able to hear the first message, but it was great…and really something I needed to hear, very encouraging. Going back to Kingspark, the church we were a part of while I was in high school, was awesome. We were able to see people we hadn’t seen in years, and I got to share about the World Race with people who have known me since I was 8 years old and have seen the amazing transformation that God has done in my life to bring me to the place I am now, in complete surrender to his will, getting ready to follow him into the unknown.

I would have liked to stay in OKC for the entire series, that will be happening through Wednesday night, but alas, I have to be a grown up and go to work this week…lame. And on the topic of work:: I have less than two weeks left before my last day at work, my departure for training camp, and then my move to Missouri…life is coming at me fast…where did the summer go? Please pray for me as I finish all the last minute tasks to be done at work, as I get the last of my supplies for camp, and as I prepare to move back to MO. The month of October is going to be gone before I know it and I am trying to savor my last couple of weeks in this season of life, with the friends the Lord has given me here in Amarillo.

I just want to leave you with this delightful picture, if you are reading this and actually know my brother and I then you can attest to the pandemonium and shear awesomeness that oozes from us when we are together which led to this picture yesterday:: you are welcome.
