THE PHILIPPINES | Malaybalay
On Monday afternoon we got an opportunity to go see and sing to the Governor of Bukinon, which is the province which includes the city of Malaybalay. He happens to be a very good friend of Glen and Grace, the head people of Mt. Moriah which is where we are staying. We all got to hear his story and then tell him why we are here on the world race and what our mission was. Chris and Carmen were then able to sing a little Jason Mraz to the Filipino leader before Tim, Leyna, and Jasmin sang a worship song. It was all very jo as we listened to him talk as we ate liche fruit. At the end we were able to take team pictures with him. When it was Shabach’s turn, Michael, our fearless leader, asked the Governor to yell “Shabach” with us. So, in the office of the Governor of the Bukinon Province the seven of us, including the Governor screamed “Shabach” at the top of our lungs, with the Governor’s out yelling all of us! It was definitely something I will never forget!
