Hey you guys!
I first wanted to thank you all so much for your support and prayers over the last few months! I can see God’s hand already on this trip in the way he has provided so much. So on that note, I wanted to share what has been going on here.
It has been pretty hectic here in Ocala, FL in the Hoffman household. Mom decided to do morning art classes twice a week for the month of July and possibly August to raise money for me to go. So she is constantly buzzing around doing anything from mosaics to wind chimes with kids ages 3-6. My family also worked hard to do a garage sale this last weekend to raise just over $600 for me and the week before they gave up their entire July 4th to sit at a booth at God and Country day selling bracelets, doing hairwraps, and facepainting. Mom and I basically had an assembly line of painting faces that my dad had organized and by the end of the night we had painted over 100 faces.
On top of all these extra events I am working at a Summer Camp in Gainsville, FL as the Arts and Crafts director! It has been so fun planning projects and being creative. Since it is only a day camp, I am also able to work a second job at Tan-USA, a tanning salon in Ocala, FL, on some nights.
My basic goal is to take this summer and tell as many people as possible about the trip and then let God take it from there. With these fundraisers and your donations I have raised just over $6,000! The next deadline is $7,000 by July 14th! Right now I know that I will have enough to go in September which is really exciting, but I would love to have as much as possible raised before I go. This will enable me to put full focus on the ministry at hand on the field instead of support raising from the field. I know that many of you are already financial and prayerful supporters but I ask that if you are not you pray about partnering with me over the next year in what God has called me to do. If you are already giving I ask that you too take every opportunity to share your partnership with me!
I really do appreciate each and every one of you!
God Bless,
Chelsea
