You’re up! Or, shall I say, Eur-ope! to our new squad and team leaders.
It’s an exciting time on the Race. Between Months 4 and 5, new squad leaders are chosen and teams are shuffled around a bit, again. Since January, Alyssa, Jeff, and Beka have been serving us tirelessly as our alumni leaders. At the end of the month, they’ll go home, leaving C Squad to fend for ourselves in this crazy world! It’s a good thing they’re preparing us so well!
As a result, my team has changed again. I’m sad to leave Team Doots so quickly, because we really enjoyed our time together. All seven of us instantly clicked and we had so many laughs and tears together. I think we knew we wouldn’t have much time together though, because our team had so many wonderful leaders on it, one or two were bound to take on leadership positions come Month 5.
Sure enough, our previous Doots leader Matthew Fitzgerald and teammate Daniel Williams have stepped into the position of squad leaders! We also have two ladies squad leading: Breanna Mason and Rita Miller. This means that they’ll be taking care of the entire squad, not just one team. As I write this they are probably finishing up their training and heading out to see us in Lezhe, where we are working this month. Also, our teammate Arden De Cuir is stepping into the role of team leader. And by team leader, I mean my team leader. We two doots are still together. Please be praying for our new leaders! We’re all so glad to see them called into these positions!
