I recently read this blog written for racers in month 5/6. I don't know this person but what she wrote was good. The part that stuck out the most to me was this:
Take it one month at a time, one week at a time, one day at a time if you have to. But, seriously think back…
Remember why you felt like God called you on the race in the first place.
Remember your excitement and anticipation for this amazing opportunity that you had.
Remember the moment you got you acceptance call.
Remember the moment when you logged into your blog for the first time.
Read your "About Me" section again.
Read your first couple blogs again.
Let Jesus reignite a passion in your heart for what you are doing out there on the field.
My squad leaves for Africa next week and we're going to hit the 1/2 way point this month (June 18th for me specifically). I put this video together to remind myself, my squad, and whoever else of that butterfly stomach excitement. It's terrible quality, the transitions are abrupt, but the words are powerful. Much love homies.
"No weapon that is formed against us shall prosper and every tongue which rises against us in judgment we do condemn. This is our heritage as servants of the Lord and our righteousness is from You oh Lord of hosts. If there are those who have been speaking or praying against us or seeking to do harm or evil to us or who have rejected us, we forgive them, and having forgiven them we bless them in the name of the Lord. Now we declare oh Lord that You and You alone are our God and beside You there is no other. A just God and a Savior, the Father, the Son, and the Spirit, and we worship You. We submit ourselves afresh to You today in unreserved obedience. In having submitted to You Lord, we do as Your word directs. We resist the devil, all his pressures, his attacks, his deceptions, every instrument or agent he would seek to use against us, we do not submit. Drive him from us and exclude him from us in the name of Jesus. Specifically we reject and repel infirmity, infection, malignancies, viruses, pain, inflammation, allergies, every form of witchcraft. Finally Lord, we thank You that through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, we have passed up from under the curse and have entered into the blessing of Abraham whom you blessed in all things with exaltation, fruitfulness, victory, health, prosperity, and God's favor. Amen."
