Throughout this journey leading up to the World Race I have been reminded many times how important relationships are. I feel blessed that many of the people I have a relationship with have supported my decision to go to the nations declaring Jesus name. One of those people is my Mom. She is someone I laugh with, cry with, and can talk to about anything. She has written a blog entry with some updates now that Isquad is leaving in just two weeks on September 5th.
I love you Mom and Gary and will miss you both more then words can say over this next year. Every time my iPod plays country I will think of you!
Here is what my Mom (Rachel) had to say:
Hi, just throught I would update Chelsea's blog for her and give a little of my perspective. Wow! Two weeks from yesterday Chelsea leaves to embard on this great experience! We can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for her!
A week ago, Chelsea's stepdad (Gary) and I planned a "Prayer Send off/Goodbye Party" for her and wow were we amazed. It was so good to see friends and family come together for one single purpose (to pray for Chelsea and her team). It was also great to see friends and to see how rich of a life we have with these friendships and all because of God! Thank you to those who came for this and if we inadvertently forgot to invite you, please forgive us and we hope you can join us for her "returen party and update" probably planned for next fall.
Packing/Shopping: Well we really haven't done a lot of packing…yet…but we have done a lot of last minute shopping! I am sure we still have a lot more "last minute" shopping to do too!
Chelsea did find out this week that one of her original countries has been changed because of scheduling issues, so she is now going to Romania instead of Moldova.
God is amazing! He has already answered prayers for this trip and preparations for it!!!
I guess I will end this blog since it really isn't my blog anyway! Thanks for listening to me and keep praying!! Lots to get done before 5th like go to Colorado and see my niece get married (Chelsea is in the wedding)! Looking forward to seeing what all that God has planned for the next year!
In God's Grace,
Rachel
