In case you were wondering, Australia is the bees knees! We are doing a ministry in a small community right outside Darwin called Bagot. Bagot is such an incredible community. It is a place where people never wanted to go before. Social workers even refused to go in there because of the danger. Ambulances didn’t even like going into this community. Because of the levels of intoxication and drug abuse. Because it is a place that is drowning in spiritual warfare.
People here have all claimed to have seen a rainbow colored serpent that slithers among them at their initiation ceremony. They worship this rainbow colored serpent and many other spirits. In all reality, this rainbow colored serpent is either an evil angel or Satan himself. One of the kids here told us one day that the dark spirits chase them. And you can’t look back because if you do they will get you. You just have to keep running. So clearly, this place is a place that is covered with dark spirits. The darkness seems to have just consumed the people. There is murder, drug abuse, alcoholism, physical abuse, just basically anything you can think of….it exists here.
The first day we went into Bagot my heart felt super heavy. I didn’tt want to be there. I literally had to fight the darkness away in order to keep my thoughts on what we were there to do. On what Jesus wanted to be accomplished there.
We work at a church in the community that our contacts started a couple months ago. From this church, a couple loyal Christians in the community have emerged and are the community’s light and hope for the future.
Our contacts, David and Isobel, are just amazing. 
They have just continued to pour and pour into this community. They believe that Bagot community is going to be transformed into a place of praise and constant worship for a relentless Savior. For a spirit that is HOLY and not of darkness. For a father that loves them and wants them to be truly happy. For freedom in the kingdom of God.
In the years David and Isobel have been working here, Bagot has slowly begun to claim this new light. There are now a few devout Christians in the community that declare that their old way of life isn’tt worth it compared to the glory of God. Amen? It is through these few Christians that Jesus has brought up, it is through David and Isobel that this community is going to be set free.
We join them in that vision. We believe that Bagot community will be set free from the chains the darkness has kept them in. That they will realize that Jesus has crowned them as ROYALTY and through the power of the Holy Spirit, their chains are gone. That they have authority over the darkness in the name of Jesus.
We declare freedom over this community. Through that freedom, they will claim victory. Victory over the dark spirits that lie to them. Victory over their old way of life. Victory in Jesus.
Just continue to be in prayer for us this last week of ministry. That we can just set a fire in these people’s souls through the work of Jesus. And be prayerful for them for their future. That it is a future of freedom and not slavery to sin.
