WELL! It has been about three months since I blogged last! So I apologize in advance for how scattered and random this post is going to be.

I have had an incredible 2 months in Africa and I’m so stoked to see what this month has in store for my team and I.  I have encountered Jesus in ways I never thought I would before….through other people, through experiences.  I could write all day about how much Africa has changed me, but I’m just going to touch base with people that have had monumental effects on me while being here.

Month 7 (July) we were in Pigg’s Peak, Swaziland working at an orphanage called El Shaddai.  El Shaddai, broke my heart and changed me in so many indescribable ways.  This orphanage is a place run completely on faith.  I admire every single part about this ministry.  Every single one of those children is a living testament to God’s love.  One little beautiful girl spoke to me more than I ever though a three year old could.

Meet nalboothle.  She is 3 years old and to all the workers at el Shaddai and especially to me…..she is an angel.  Her mother suffered with AIDS and died after giving birth to Nalboothle.  This being case, Nalboothle is HIV positive.  (for those of you that don’t know, Swaziland has the highest HIV rate in the entire world) Her grandmother tried taking care of her for the first year of her life, but without the proper care, Nalboothle was nearing her death.  Nalboothle arrived at El Shaddai orphanage on her death bed.  El Shaddai did only what they knew best in this situation, prayer.  Within weeks, nalboothle was a normal little 2 year old girl.  Functioning the way she was designed to.  She lives.  As a walking miracle.  As a daughter of the kingdom. As an angel.   When I held her I could feel the presence of the holy spirit so heavy it brought me to tears without fail every single time.  I pray for continued strength in her as she grows up.  I pray God continues to equip her with the weapons to battle for Kingdom in Swaziland.  Oh. I also taught her how to say “I love you.”  most precious words I could ever hear from that little girl!

Mozambique.  ROCKED my world.  We were traveling preachers all month.  We would go around to different villages around northern Mozambique and share the gospel, pray for people, and witness miracles daily.  We saw about 100 people healed in one day at a village.  ONE day.  And not one person walked away without being healed.  God has favor on Mozambique.  He has favor for his people.  And these villages are a testament to that.

Meet this beautiful woman of God.  I wish I knew her name! But for now, I’ll just call her beautiful.  Our first day at one of the villages in Mozambique we walked down to a near village and shared the gospel.  After we shared and worshipped with the village, we were able to begin praying for the people….one by one.  For hours.  Seeing person after person healed.  HEALED.  People that were blind could see.  The deaf heard.  Pain was banished in the name of Jesus.  This lady, approached us as we were about to leave.  She had heard that there were people healing in the village so she hurried down to catch us.  She struggled to walk.  I think it was mainly her right leg.  She could barely stand in complete strength.  Although we were crazy worn out, we again approached jesus for healing for our sister.  Which is a testament to how as we get weaker….jesus gets stronger.  After we prayed for her, she opened her eyes with the BIGGEST smile on her face.  She began shouting in her language, and I wish I knew what she said! But she was walking. And I even made her dance! She walked away dancing.  With joy.  She walked away with Jesus.  This was the very first time that this woman has ever believed in Jesus.  Dude, AMEN right?

Now, in month 9, we are in Manzini, Swaziland at a place called Thembeni Care Point.  It is a place where the local villages can come for food and the children can come to play.  Not going to lie, this place has a pretty bomb playground! So there are kids around here all the time.  We spend our time doing manual labor and ministering and pouring into the children and community as much as possible.

Meet Dumile.  She is 13 years old and has a fierceness in her eyes that I have never experienced before.  She struggles with down syndrome and is unable to attend school because of this.  I’m not sure if the government doesn’t allow her to attend school because of her ailment, or if her family can’t afford it.  Regardless, she is one of the most beautiful girls here I have met.  She doesn’t know English, but I read my bible with her every day and just declare truths over her.  The best part, is praying with Dumile.  Because although she doesn’t know English, she knows what it is to pray.  And dude that girl is DANG good at it.  Every time I pray with her, I can feel His presence just overwhelm me.  She brings kingdom daily just by the love she displays.  I can’t wait to spend more time with her and see how God is daily working in her.

I can’t even begin to describe how much God is changing me this year.  It amazes me that we only have two months left!

I pray for the ground of heaven to break and for every single person to be flooded with his love.

“The nations will see your vindication, and all kings your glory; you will be called by a new name that the mouth of the Lord will bestow.  You will be a crown of splendor in the Lord’s hand, a royal diadem in the hand of your God” ~Isaiah 62:2-3
