We left Thailand about three weeks ago. Crossing the border was a lot more of a hassle than I thought it would be! I really had no idea Thailand and Cambodia weren’t friends until we got to the border. I’ve learned to love buses with bathrooms on them. They save lives, really.
Anyways, CAMBODIA. I love it! My team and I are working in a village right outside Siem Reap called Pourk. The place we work is called University of the Nations. Basically all we do is teach English/christian morals to children of the village ranging from ages 5-23. We teach about 6 classes per day. One from 11-12, three from 5-6, and 2 from 6-7. Our times in between are usually spent cleaning the children’s hair or playing soccer. We wash all the children’s hair about once a week.
In the morning we bike over to a different village and teach a different group of children about God. Usually this includes a game, a song, and a short lesson that we will act out. We are going to start visiting another family every Wednesday morning in another village and just spending time with them. We stay pretty busy, but I really can’t imagine being anywhere else right now. God is teaching me something new every single day.
Anyways, I am in love with this ministry. God has blessed us with amazing contacts. This month is going to be filled with immense amounts of joy and hope!
