Guess who’s back? Back again? Chelsea’s back and I’m telling my friends!

It puts a smile on my freckly face to let you know that my Father has safely returned me to the wonderful United States of America! To fill you in (in case you missed it), at the beginning of January, Erin and I parted from J-Squad leading with the dust of 4 months on our heels and the anticipation of 2 weeks of blissful vacation time on our toes. We travelled all over Cambodia, hanging out in our last (for now) tiny Asian bus seats (while the bus played non-stop full-volume Karaoke videos), snorkeling on multiple coral reefs, visiting a crocodile farm and getting to hold baby crocs (look out!), hanging out at the one and only Cambodian vineyard, riding 40+mph on the bamboo slab bamboo train (seen below), eating the last of our authentic Khmer cuisine while simultaneously scarfing for familiar American food, biking about 25 miles through the Angkor Wat temples (whoo!) and all around enjoying our last few days together.
Once we made it to our first airport in Siem Reap on our last Tuk Tuk ride, we started our travel marathon to return home. The unofficial athletic activity of our extended voyage included but is not limited to finally leaving the coolest month Cambodia has to offer, progressively trucking through 5 different airports, napping on benches in said airports, spritzing myself and Erin with various duty-free perfumes to not smell like said airports, sprinting with joy when I find a smoothie-king in the Seoul airport, steadily ingesting excess amounts of caffeine to try and curb the affects of 4+ dramamine, watching 6 episodes of Sherlock on one plane, watching 4 movies on the same plane, scarfing down our final asian themed anything on the flight across the Pacific, eating Erin’s vegetables (as usual), parting with her in Los Angeles after 4 1/2 months of almost constant contact, connecting once and again, finally reaching the wonderful Charlotte Douglas Airport and I was finally back in my family’s arms. Praise the Lord, it is so good to be back!
After the always odd phenomenon of jet-lag and the progress of emotional processing, God has me back and running at a healthy pace. Jesus is still up to being a crazy loon that loves better than all of us and I am glad to get to know His heart more and more. My family is being so good to me and caring for me so well. I get to actually sleep in a bed that is under the same roof as those I love so much, all while they have grace on me as I move into what is next for my life. I’m stoked to even try to honor Him as much as He honors me. Abba Father has really given me a good life and He loves to love me with His goodness. He will always be so good to each of us and I love Him for just how great His heart is. His heart gives me such peace in knowing that I can trust Him in what He has planned for me in His Kingdom.
Until next time… I will let you know just what madness is coming next.
