Woop Woop Everybody!
It’s another glorious day here in the south and I am diggin’ it! The weather is beyond perfect right now and I decided to write my post outside.
Thanks to all of your prayers I have basically snagged myself 2 fill-in massage jobs at some really great spas and I am pumped to start working. The fact that I found a job is nothing short of a miracle. I didn’t think the job market was going to be so crazy until I dove in.
Bum bum bum (the good sound, not the scary one)! I have now reached great strides in my strides on the elliptical machine. I upped the ante on my distance from 4.5 to 5.5 miles 4 times a week. I have noticed a difference in my tolerance for walking and big difference in my lung power. I have decided to call my progress “Being fat stinks”. I will not post weight loss but I will let you know about anything I feel is significant.
I am also happy to report that I have made a lot of great new friends. I have been praying for a group of Christians to come into my life for a long time and now I’ve found them! I am really happy about this!!
To add some local flavor, this week is the Quail Hollow golf tournament here in Charlotte and I am very excited. I went to see a friend play in the pro-am on Monday and I am going back on Saturday to watch the pros with a huge crowd. My goal is to growl/purr at Tiger Woods (I’ve always wanted to).
In brotherly updates, my brother is taking all of his final exams this week along with thousands of other college students. Please pray for all of them as they battle through this book thumping, heavily caffeinated week.
In echoes for the elderly (haha), my grandmother is moving into a retirement community today and I would really appreciate your prayers. She has been anticipating this move for quite some time and the day has finally come. I ask you to pray for her well being in her first move from the house in which my grandfather passed. It is going to be a great step into her future and I am happy she is making strides in her life.
For news that isn’t technically mine, 2 friends from high school have gotten their hug from Taylor Swift! Michael Wekall and Ryan Leander started so small and now have met the country singing cutie Taylor Swift. If you would like to learn more please visit their website: http://www.ahugfromtaylorswift.com .
Last but not least, my support account has just popped the $4,000 USD bubble! I am so grateful for all of your support so far and I really appreciate everything all of you have done. Please continue to spread the word to your friends and family and keep on praying!
To wrap things up I am going to leave you with a prayer list:
- my grandma, Nancy Angel
- all of the students taking college exams in the next 2 weeks
- all of the students graduating from college in the next 2 weeks
- my progress with the World Race
Thanks Again and have a great week!
