Pump your fists for Jesus!
What a GLORIOUS week! I am currently sitting in the cafeteria at 11:15 pm, simply trying to write what God wants me to say. I have experienced a seriously RIDONCULOUS (ree-donk-you-luss) amount of stuff and it is going to be a little difficult trying to explain it all.
God has moved His mighty hand here in ways that I did not believe were possible. I have never met so many young believers who are absolutely EXPLODING with Christ. I know I have been waiting for God to show up but I was definitely not expecting this!
First, lets describe what it feels like down here in White, GA. One day here feels like 7 and I literally feel like I have been here for a month. It is usually a cool 97 degrees and heavily humid for the middle hours of the day. I have lost at least 5 pounds (Being Fat Stinks) in six days and I just keep shedding. The best part, however, is the fact that I can’t get enough of it. Every drip of sweat feels like it is draining something that needs to be drained. Every time I grow tired, God fills me up with energy and zest for life.
Second, the people I have met here are beyond my normal realm of comprehension. I have laughed enough to total 3 pilates workouts and it feels crazy good. My hug-o-meter is off the radar and my happy meter is out the roof. Every person is ready and willing to hit the field and I am glad to know that people my age aren’t ashamed to serve the Lord.
Third, I have to explain the photo I attached. We have a squad (S-Squad!) of about 65 people who will all be departing in October with me. We went on an under the stars campout the other night and I decided to try and rave with 2 blinking headlamps in the dark. I smacked myself straight in the eye and I totally deserve my little dinky black eye. It was hilarious and painful at the same time and secretly really awesome.

Finally, I was assigned my dream team for the 11 months on the race today! I will be posting a lot of info later so get yourself ready!
Love you all, even those I have never met.
