“May we never lose our wonder”. Standing amongst a crowd of my peers in Nicaragua, as I sang those words, I knew that God was telling me to “Go”. For me, deciding to follow this calling was extremely hard. I never knew what my plans were going to be after I graduated college. I had no clue where I was going to end it. All I knew was that I was going to be a girl with a theatre degree trying to figure out what the heck was next. It took God smacking me in the face, in another country, away from everything I knew for me to realize that I was where I was–doing exactly what I was meant to be doing. Declaring His glory among the nations, and spreading His good deeds among all people(1 Chronicles 16:24).

It is way too easy and far too common to slip back into the mundane routine of life. Sometimes we forget who and whose we are. We fail to set our eyes upon the beauty that is God’s plan. “wide eyed and mystified, may we be just like a child. Staring at the beauty of our king.” He works wonders everyday. He fills our lives with a magnificent beauty that is truly incapable for us to comprehend the love that He has for us. In all times, God is so wonderful and we should be those children completely in awe of all that He has done and continues to do.

God only knows how to be wonderful. Through all that he is creating, moving in our lives and through all that He is redeeming, He remains wonderful. Sometimes it is hard to see that wonder, it is hard to remain stedfast and faithful. But we need to keep that wonder. Continue to strive to be like Him and to actively run to and pursue Him. To be on an adventure seeking to bring glory to His name.

“Look among the nations! Observe! Be astonished! Wonder! Because I am doing something in your days– You would not believe if you were told” (Habakkuk 1:5)

“Many, O LORD my God, are the wonders which You have done” (Psalm 40:5)
