Helloooooo!! I am so excited that you have stumbled across my blog. I hope you are just as ready for this crazy journey that is The World Race as I am.
Whether you are family, a friend, or even a stranger I want to say welcome. My name is Chelcie Williams and I am currently a senior Theatre Education major at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. I graduate in May and then I get to embark on this crazy ride.
Music is a huge part of my life. I am involved in an all-female acapella group and play the piano, ukulele, and the guitar. I love making music with and for other people. Being able to communicate through this language of love is extremely soul moving for me.
As a performer, I love making people smile. Making people laugh and having an impact on people is filling for me. I thrive on being a source of happiness and support for others.
I have been going on mission trips every year since I was in 7th grade and they have been such an amazing experience for me. I have been to West Virginia 2 times, Puerto Rico 4 times, and my most recent one was to Nicaragua. This is when I really found my calling and realized that God was telling me to Go and be a servant.
It has been hard to decide to listen to that calling. I never in a million years thought that I would be packing my bags for a year right after I graduate college. But, God never promised for things to be easy. All he promised was to be there every step of the way. So, here we go.
