Building community through the love of Christ is what drew me to the World Race. Having the opportunity to take a season to go deeper with God, to rediscover my identity in Christ, and to fully abandon my life to follow Christ is the driving force behind my interest in the word race. After reading the book, Radical, by David Platt and teaching on the Great Commission for Sunday school it challenged me to ask myself how I have been an ambassador of Christ and what am I doing to proclaim the Good News to others. And it hit me,that there are people outside of the walls of any one church that are waiting to hear about my Savior and what He has done in my life.
We all have our race in life, and mine includes the World Race. As difficult as it is to leave behind my career, profession, family, friends, my partner, and community I know that my life depends on it. I am willing to chase after God with all that I have trusting that all will be restored. I am honored to be a member of the World Race America 2021 team, and look forward to partnering with others to live out my life’s mission: Magnify and Multiply a Multitude of God’s people by Educating, Empowering, and Embracing the needs of others.
