Howdy y’all.
My name is Chase Bonning and I’m from Texas. I don’t love writing but wanted to give you all a list of things to help get to know me. So, here goes my best effort at blogging…
1. I was born in Houston, TX.
2. I weighed 9 pound and 2 ounces… (you all see where this is going, right?)
3. I’m hoping that spaghetti and meatballs will make at lease one appearance on the WR.
4. My dad is from Zimbabwe, Africa!
5. My brother, Travis, went on the World Race 2 years ago and was also an L Squad Member.
6. I don’t like running. So, chances are if we are chased by lions and you are reading this post, you’re safe. They’ll catch me first.
7. I’m happiest when I’m riding on any type of boat.
8. I like to fix things. I’m hoping this will be useful over the next 11 months. I just fixed a water heater, but then I’m guessing I won’t be running into any of those anytime in the near future.
9. I’m currently aiding my parents in a rescue mission for six orphaned bunnies from our yard. You should not force feed them cat milk. Apparently, they’re lactose intolerant.
10. I work in Real Estate, and therefore, can beat anyone at Monopoly.
11. I’m most excited about getting to spend some time in Thailand! I love curry.
12. I like to travel and skiing the Swiss Alps has been my favorite adventure so far. I’m ready for a year of adventure and exploring.
13. I have approximately zero musical talent, but I would love to be able to play the piano.
14. I could kill a poisonous snake without batting an eye, but I will scream like a girl if I see a spider.
15. I love to cook any type of Cajun food. Gumbo is my specialty.
16. Being from Texas, I firmly believe in hats and boots.
17. When I was little I wanted to be a helicopter pilot. Actually, I still want to be a helicopter pilot.
18. Deer season is my favorite holiday.
19. I’m on the livestock committee for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
20. I am praying that over the next 11 months the Lord will teach me more about Himself and how to serve others well.
Thanks for reading.
Chase
