I am a Third Culture Kid. I was born to two Colombian immigrant parents that came to America seeking a better life for themselves and their future children. I cannot claim to be fully American or fully Colombian—to be honest, I love it! I was born and raised in a small city in central Massachusetts. I have two younger brothers—Cesar and Christian. I live with my mom and brother, Christian, whom I love very much! I attend House of Prayer Church (Iglesia Casa de Oración). I also work as a Spanish in-house interpreter—I love my job!

My conversion to Christianity can be identified as one specific moment, but I’d love to tell you how it happened gradually. I began attending church around the age of 10 years old. I have few memories of attending church as a child. When I was a freshman in high school, I began questioning life. I wondered if there was more to life than doing well in school, being an athlete, and getting a well-paying job in adulthood. Little did I know, God was stirring my heart for something greater—He was about to rock my world. Thankfully, my attention span increased and I began paying attention in church. I was quick to obtain the facts of salvation (I am a sinner; Jesus came to absorb God’s wrath for my sins; I need Jesus). The summer after my senior year in high school, I finally believed all of this. I believed that God loved me enough to sacrifice His one and only Son so that I could be reconciled to Him. It was great—it’s STILL great!

My parents came to this country in hopes that their children would have a better life. They made the right decision! I have a better life in Christ Jesus. I don’t know where I would be if it weren’t for God’s overwhelmingly awesome grace that He has bestowed upon my life. He has really saved me.
