Squatty potties and bucket showers aren’t that bad
when every night you get a flood of kids running at you wanting to dance and be
held.

Every night this week you get the opportunity to
run a conference outside for everyone in the neighbourhood. We stand on this
huge wooded stage with microphones in our hands. You think you would be a
little nervous, but I believe the Holy Spirit has really been giving us
confidence and strength to speak in boldness.
A couple months ago we received a word from God that our team was going
to be stepping into a new season of boldness and I see it now- the confidence
and ability to speak God’s truth. Last night Monica and I talked together on
faith. What it looks like to have childlike faith and that it’s a risk of the
unknown.

“Faith
is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see” Hebrew
11:1

When the night ended, all the kids ran toward us.
I truly felt this was my picture of Africa coming alive. Over seventy kids covering
all six of my teammates.  There was one
point where my hands and arms were covered with children. We gave high fives,
hugs and danced together. I walked away feeling joy and saying “I love those
kids”.  I’ve never felt a need to just
love so much as I did in that moment.  We
were told some of these kids do not even know what hugs are.  One of my teammates hugged one of the kids and
they did not know what to do- they just stood there with arms on the side.

Mission: to exhibit love. I know I have said this
before, but really this is what this place needs.

These past days I have been filled with such joy
through people and creation.  We have had
some amazing time to find rest and be refilled.

We went to the beach on our day off. It was gorgeous.
At one point I climbed down into this hole to see what was there. It was a cave
with an opening to the ocean. It’s funny because God knows what I get delight
and joy in- new adventures.  God has
really been reviving my spirit helping me find rest and laughter in him.

Thank you all for your prayers, and please know your
prayers are not unheard.

Please continue to follow this journey and be a
part of what’s to come. We leave Tanzania in two days and go to our last
African country- Uganda.
