“It will look little
to you, but it is so much to us” – Pastor Gideon

Throughout the past
week we have been assisting in building an office for Deliverance Church.  I know many of you have helped support this mission’s
trip and I want to tell you this building was funded through all of you. We
have a budget each month that goes to food, travelling to and from countries,
also transportation within the country, sleeping accommodations, communication,
and any excess supplies. When we have extra funds for the month, we assist in
ways we can- like building an office. Pastor Gideon and the church have been
praying for 14 years for an office. It is a huge blessing to be a part of and
know you are a part of this too.  As he
said, it may look small to us but means the world to them – little by little
the vision for this church is being unfolded.

Every day for the last five days, hired men
who knew what they were doing would come and we assist where we could. We have
dug holes, made and poured cement, carried wood- here and there, sawed wood,
carried water, hammered nails, and been there as God clarifies His plan for
Busia, Kenya.

“No eye has seen, No
ear has heard, No mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love
him” 1 Corinthians 2:9.

This church is filled
with a zeal for God that is an example for many. Their desire is to see men and
woman rise up in their faith.  As we get
to see and be a part of this expansion, it is awesome that they love the Lord
and we cannot even conceive what God has for them through this.

” There is a  time for everything, and a season for every
activity under heaven, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to tear
down and a time to build…He has made everything beautiful in its time” Ecclesiastes
3: 1-3,11

“As it is written:
Let him who boasts boast of the Lord”- 1 Corinthians 1:31

It is time to praise
God and give thanks for the work He is doing, for His work is mighty and
powerful!

Please pray for
Busia- for believers to desire to go deeper with God and for those who do not
know the Lord that their hearts may be open. Also, that the Lord’s kingdom comes
on earth (To Busia) as it is in heaven -That God’s love touches and affects
every heart.

Random Fun thought– When Showers become luxury;
I was stating the other day that I was going to have a shower after about five
days- yes, you hold off as long as possible because there is not much water. I
was thinking what a joy it will be to feel clean and how it is a luxury to have
a bucket shower. The life in Kenya is truly simple making me aware of how much
I can learn from this life.

 Fun Fact:
A white person is called “Mzungo”- everywhere we go everyone yells “Mzungo”,
considering we are one of the only white people in town.
