lf we were to live an
extraordinary life, what would it look like?
With God helping you; take
your ordinary life – your sleeping, eating, going to work, and walking around
life- and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you
is the best thing you can do for him, don’t become so well adjusted to your
culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention
on God. You’ll be changed from the
inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond
to it. God brings test out of you which develops well- formed maturity in you. For
the grace given don’t think of yourself more highly than you ought to, but
rather think of yourself with sober judgement, in accordance with the measure
of faith God has given you. The only accurate way to understand ourselves is by
what God is and by what he does for us, not by what we are and what we do for
him. We are made as Christ body and we
need each other to function, all having different parts to make it happen. So
let’s go ahead and be what we were made to be, without enviously or pride fully
comparing ourselves with each other, or trying to be something we aren’t.
Love
from the center of who you are, don’t fake it. Run from evil
and hold onto good. Be good friends who love deeply. Be alert servants of the master, cheerfully expectant. Don’t quit
in hard time; pray all the harder. Bless, laugh, share tears, and get along
with each other. Make friends with the
nobodies, don’t be the great somebody.
Discover beauty in everyone. If you’ve got it in you, get along with
everyone. Don’t insist on getting even, that’s not for you to do. Don’t let evil get the best of you; get the
best of evil by doing good- Keep a smile on your face! – Romans 12 (NIV/Message)
It will and has taken all of me to live like this, but my
true desire is to express this scripture. How amazing it is to love deeply,
sacrifice my life to God, be all God created me to be and in all of it boast of
the Lord. I want to serve God with all
of me, all that is inside of me. It will be hard but I am alright with that
because God is more important than anyone thing in my life. Anything it takes I
want to do it so I can be a pleasing and holy sacrifice to God.
Before we were born God called us, he formed us in the womb
to be his servant. We are honoured in the eyes of the Lord and he is our
strength. God says is it too small a thing for you to be my servant? To
restore, bring back nations, to bring salvation to the ends of the earth. This
is what the Lord says the Holy one of Israel, who has chosen you. -Isaiah 49
(NIV)
This is a huge message from Gods word and I know some may
not understand but I felt passionate to share- please let it soak in your heart
and meditate on the power of these words for your life. What are you called to
do and how would that look for your life?
Huge challenge but I am facing it too. blessings- Charlotte Clark
