Location: Irish Coffee Shop
Well I made it to Ireland no problem. The weather is nearly always cloudy. But the country is beautiful. Dublin is cool. Every road is lined with tall shrubs on either side. And behind each shrub is a small green field. From the air, the country looks like a green stone walkway because of all the small fields. Everything is green. There's a reason this country is called the emerald isle. Odds are, this will be the most beautiful country I visit on this trip.
I got to visit an Irish church or “assembly” the last two Sundays. Everyone sat in a circle and the men came up one by one and spoke whatever the Lord had put on their heart. The women were asked to keep silent and keep their heads covered. Everyone there was very friendly and smiled a lot. Our hosts have several foster Children who live with them. They like to sit and listen to us talk in our funny American accents. They were very talkative too. One boy had a great time “teaching” me to play “football”. He was very thorough. I accidentally kicked the ball straight into his face and knocked him flat. He hoped right up though and kept going.
I'm hoping to go swimming in the ocean today. The ocean is about a 20 minute walk from where i'm staying. I'm in a large house with three teams of seven people. I can't imagine what possess a family to open up their house for 21 foreigners for three weeks. That must take a lot of courage and hospitality. I am very grateful.
Please be praying for all the people here that we would continue to be mindful of our place as guests in this country and house. Also please pray that the people would be receptive to the tracts we pass out on the street. We've been passing out at least 5000 tracts every day, six days a week. We will need God's power and presence when ministering. Now in the words of looney tunes, “thats all folks”.
