In Hebrew, there is a word “dayenu” which translates to “it would have been sufficient” or “enough” relating to God’s generosity, provision, protection, justice, etc…If He had only brought the Israelites out of Egypt but not carried out judgments against their oppressors, dayenu! If He had only carried out judgments against their oppressors and not on their idols, dayenu!…and so on. So, in response to everything that God has done in my life this year, I say dayenu! If God had allowed me to come on the Race, but only for 3 months because of arthritis, dayenu! If God had allowed me to complete the Race, but with increasing arthritis pain each month, dayenu!
…But, he has done so much more! If anything, the arthritis pain and inflammation has decreased over the last 3 months of the Race. I can walk further, stand longer and work harder than I did months 3 through 8 of the Race. God is not just sustaining me…he is making me stronger! If I would have just “made it through” the Race, it would have been enough. But I have a generous God…He has given me so much more. I have walked, danced, played, and participated in so many things.
Consistent with His ways, God’s provision has not just stopped with the physical realm. His provision and generosity has been evident in my spiritual and emotional journey as well. Even in this last month I am continuing to be amazing by the way God is showing me how to walk in more and more freedom. I can’t explain it other than to say that I am moving, speaking, dreaming and praying with more and more confidence, boldness, hope, vision, and conviction.
If the Race was only 3 months, or 6 months or 9 months…dayenu…but the Race God had for me this year was 11 months and He has poured out his abundant blessings all the way through. My Race does not end with The World Race…My Race continues…July 28th I will fly back to the United States and a new season of My Race on this earth will begin…and I CAN’T WAIT!
THANK YOU family and friends for supporting me in so many amazing ways this year. I am SO blessed!
