I am convinced that worship-saturated intercession is key in the fulfillment of the great commission. In Revelation chapter 8 it talks about how our prayers arise before the throne of God as incense where it physically affects and changes the atmosphere of heaven. Over this past week I have been praying for the team that I will be going with and also the people that we will be ministering to. I would like to invite you to partner with me in prayer by sharing with you the verses and topics that I have been praying through.
For the October 2016 Route 1 Team:
Pray for revelation of Jesus’ beauty that we might walk in our calling by God’s power.
“…that the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may KNOW [experience] what is the hope of His calling [assurance/ clarity of God’s call for our life] what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints [our destiny as Jesus’ inheritance], and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power…” (Ephesians 1:17-19)
Pray for clarity of speech and boldness in sharing the gospel, and tenderness to what Holy Spirit is saying.
“Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall speak.” (Exodus 4:12)
“I am the LORD your God, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide [obedient to step out in faith], and I will fill it [believing in His promise/Word].” (Psalm 81:10)
Unsaved, Unengaged, and the Unreached that Our Team Will be Serving:
Pray that the Word will increase its influence (effectiveness) in the city, region, or nation as God releases His power on it.
“Pray for us, that the Word of the Lord may run swiftly [rapidly increase its influence] and be glorified [confirmed with apostolic power and miracles], just as it is with you…The Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one… May the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience [perseverance or endurance] of Christ.” (2 Thes. 3:1-5)
Note: In praying that the Word would run swiftly this past week for the people that we will be working with I have been praying that the Lord would go before us and till the ground to receive the seed of the Gospel. I just have this picture in my mind for the ground ready to receive the seeds, and all the dirt is turned up- the rocks are pulled out of the field. I just pray that every heart would be like this; that every person would meet the gospel with tenderness and readiness instead of resistance. Lord Jesus, let your Word run swiftly in Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Cambodia, Albania, Greece, Ukraine, Romania, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Malawi! Jesus, we believe in the power of your Word. Let the beauty of Jesus be seen and loved!
Thank you for partnering with me in what the Lord is doing overseas.
