It’s finally that time. As I type, I’m sitting in Chicago O’Hare Airport waiting for my flight to LAX…which then will lead to New Zealand! As I started this journey early this morning I couldn’t help but think about how blessed I am. If you’re reading this you’re probably one of the people that made this trip possible. THANK YOU! You have been a huge blessing to me! I love all of you so much, and am so glad that God has put such amazing support in my life.
I think one of the things I’m most excited about is what God will do in YOUR lives during this journey. I know that as I travel to each country and love on people all over the world, I’m not alone. You are there praying, watching, and waiting to see what God will do…I’m with you in that. I wanted you to know that I’m praying for you. I don’t take this task lightly. God has Chosen me to do something that I can’t even fathom at this point. All I know is I’m ready to see Him EXLODE!
As for 1st funny experience of the race, I was officially patted down in the security checkpoint in Louisville. Why, you may ask…because my shoes set off the explosive detecting machine. It was awesome! What’s interesting though, is that my first thought was that God was already getting my attention. Not only is this year going to be amazing, but I’m going to see things explode. By that I mean that I will see the box that I put God in explode. I will experience my heart exploding with love and compassion. I will even experience an explosion of my expectations…I don’t even know what it looks like at this point.
Anyway, that’s my update. For the next week or so I’ll be in Matamata, New Zealand. For those of you who watch The Lord of The Rings, I’ll be staying in the same town as Hobbiton!!! Pictures will come ASAP.
