So, it’s been a while since my last blog…sorry.  Life’s been a bit crazy, but God has been absolutely amazing (in case you had any doubt).

I wanted to update everyone on the happenings of the past month or so. As I get ready to take part in this incredible year of serving, there are lots of loose ends that I need to tie up.  I have to leave my job (which is going to be one of the hardest things I’ve ever done).  Leaving my job brings with it having to sell my condo, finding a place to live, and figuring out how to raise $16,000 while being without a job.  Most people in this situation might find themselves getting a bit stressed.  I’m a pretty laid back person in general, but logically I should be worried.

In the beginning of all of this, I gave God all of my worries…I told Him that He is ENOUGH, and I believed it (I still do!) So as I am moving forward I know that God has me every step of the way. I promised Him that I’d trust Him to provide.

The main reason for this blog is to share a major praise of God’s provision…the first of many I’m sure!  As I said before, I have to sell my condo.  If you know anything about real estate right now you know it’s not a good time to need to sell a condo.  Just for background, there are 30 units for sale in my complex alone…not to mention all of the other places for sale in the Northern Ky area.  Only 2 condos have sold in my complex in the last 6 months…it doesn’t look good. I put off listing my condo cuz I’m a procrastinator…it’s what I do.  But God was at work in even that.

I was unexpectedly asked to be in the worship team at my church a few Sundays ago. I wasn’t scheduled, but a spot opened up so I jumped on it.  At the end of practice we always sit down and pray with each other.  We share prayer requests and just kinda catch up.  Anyway, as we sat down after practice one of the guys shared that he’d been looking for a condo (in my head I was thinking, “hmm, that’s interesting…I need to sell mine.”) As he continued to share he pretty much described my condo…from location to rooms and closet space.  So, I gave him my number and told him to come over any time to check it out.  To make a long story a little shorter, he came over the next week and within 2 weeks of our original conversation he made an official offer to buy my condo! We’ve now drawn up a contract, and the process of him buying my condo is in full swing!  God is incredible!!!

So, let’s recap: My condo wasn’t for sale yet.  There are 30 condos for sale all around me.  Real estate is BAD right now.  People aren’t buying things cuz evidently we’re in a recession.  I go to practice, meet a guy who just so happens to want a condo, and within 2 weeks he’s buying mine! Holy Cow!!! How can I look at this and not give glory to God?!?  There’s no way around it…God did this!  God is providing for me as I walk in the center of His Will. He is so Good!  I wish I had more exquisite words to express my thankfulness for the way God works.  I wanted to let you all know so that you could join me in praising our awesome God! I love you, and I’m so thankful for your support. Please continue to pray for my preparation and for my team…God has amazing things in store!
