Where do i start Training camp was no where near what i thought it would be. I will name you 11 things i will never forget.
- ZERO EXPECTATIONS (if you don’t enter with an open mind, heart & spirit it will be difficult to adjust to the changes)
- READY TO RECEIVE HEALING (let it be spiritual or physical come ready to receive all the Lord has for you)
- EMBRACE THE STANK (the sweats, the smells, the port-a-potties, & even the gasses)
- CULTURE SHOCK (Everyday something out of the ordinary, food, custom, sometimes even language)
- BE HAPPY AT ALL TIMES (Even when you’re sleeping under a tarp with 20+ people in a rainy park)
- IT’S OK TO CRY (it’s not going to be 10 days of joy, you are going to face challenges on daily basis Philippians 4:13 )
- GET OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE (You will never know how much FUN is to DANCE IN THE RAIN UNLESS YOU TRY IT)
- YOU ARE ENOUGH (Sharing feelings with other woman’s is not as bad as your brain thinks)
- DON’T BE SORRY (If you pray in another language because that’s the way you feel comfortable shoot for it)
- LIVING IN COMMUNITY IS AWESOME (ALL you need is THE HOLY SPIRIT, WORD OF GOD, EACH OTHER)
- NO NEWS MEANS GOOD NEWS (It’s OK to cut the umbilical cord with your love ones that your always in contact with)
Final thoughts about Training camp GO READY TO listen; risk; value & love everyone in your community.
