So, I am not always Good at sharing things( sometimes very personal things). It is just not me I am a very private person. I am learning though that sometimes sharing things that have happened in my life may help others and even help further God’s kingdom. I am also not always very good about being Thankful, but over these last 10 months or so I have God has done such a change in my life that I would really like to take this time to reflect on things that I am thankful for. I have also been praying and seeking God on thankfulness and in God’s Word it says ” In EVERYTHING, give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18
So this last I would say 3 years have been very rocky for me in my relationship with God…that is up until last spring… Notice in the verse Above that it says in everything not just in the good times but , to be thankful also in the not so good times. So that is how I am trying to live my life now…To always be thankful in every situation. So anyways here it goes:
Dear God,
1. I am thankful for you protecting Chelsea, Isaiah and I when we were in the car accident with the delivery truck. (March 2009
2. I am thankful that you protected me that night while i layed on the ground clinging to life outside my apartment building.(may 2009) and that you allowed me to go through that experience.
3. I am Thankful that you have blessed me with amazing friends, and family (and I am not just talking biological, that includes my spiritual family as well.)
4. I am Thankful for both Nehemiah’s Life and Death through which you were able to use in order to bring me back to you, and to make me who I am today.
5. I am Thankful for you giving me amazing support after Nehemiah’s Death. For giving me the courage, strength, and support that i needed.
6. I am Thankful that on February 3, 2010 when I asked you to show up in a big way you did.
7. I am Thankful for The World Race, and the process, for which I have spiritually grown, and also gained a whole new family.
8. I am thankful for getting hurt last June, because if I hadn’t I would have never met the awesome men and women of God on “V” squad…
9. I am Thankful that in 10 months you have transformes me in such a way that i dont recognise the Old me anymore. That I am a new creation in you and for that I am so very Thankful.
10. I am thankful for my Family, My parents, Brother, sisters, nieces, and nephews. and my extended family.
11. I am Thankful for my church family. I am thankful for adopted family(The Hackers)
12. I am Thankful for the Aim staff, W.R. Alumni, some current World Racers, and of course “V’ squad for all the encouragement, prayers, and friendship.
13. I am Thankful that you have saved me, healed me, transformed me, and that you Love me!
14. I am Thankful that you there is a divine appointment on my life…
15. I am Thankful that you provide all my needs
16. I am Thankful that you walk with me in every situation I go through
17. I am Thankful for my friends at work
18. I am Thankful that you are using me to further your Kingdom
19. I am Thankful that you allow me to be in situations where i have to depend on you and you alone. It is not always easy, but i am so thankful for those times where i have no choice but to rely on you.
20. I am Thankful that each and everyday you FIGHT for me!
I could go on and on of things that I am Thankful for because now I am truely Thankful for everything that I have gone through in Life to get me to where I am today. To be weeks away from Going around the World to share God’s Love and to further his Kingdom. To be spiritually transformed from who I use to be to who I am now. To feel such a closeness to God that I can not express through words…I would have never got here if it werent for what I have been through in my Life. So thank you God!
