I am a woman
I have insecurities
I am self conscious
I have a hard time believing/receiving compliments
I want to see that change
I want to believe that i am FIERCE
That I am beautiful
And that the Lord has created me perfectly
This year I've been learning a lot about what it means to be a woman.
How to receive words of life. And how to see myself the way the Lord sees me.
I've been talking with women on our squad, and praying about this for a while now.
After realizing that I'm not the only one who believes lies about the way I should look
or what is defined as beautiful..it was certain something had to be done!
And yesterday morning the Lord spoke clearly.
Heres the idea that was given to me.
PHOTOSHOOT.
Not just any photoshoot..
ALL NATURAL.
no makeup, no hair products, no editing.
R.A.W. B.E.A.U.T.Y.
So many times we as women say things like.." I think I'll be beautiful when/if/only.."
NOT TRUE.
We don't need another ounce of makeup, to lose another pound, to buy a new outfit,
to fix our hair or to go tanning one more time to be beautiful.
We don't need to curl our lashes, paint our nails, or whiten our teeth to be beautiful.
We are beautiful right now just the way we are. And we need to BELIEVE IT!
It breaks my heart that most women (myself included) truly don't know how much beauty they posses!
I hope that this photoshoot is a reminder/proof of how the Lord sees us and how we should see ourselves
and eachother! That we can accept/receive the truth about our silly/quirky expressions that make us unique
and BEAUTIFUL IN OUR OWN WAYS!!
This month as you may know is wo-manistry month. and so our teams have been switched up again
to where I am now on an all female team.
Prior to this month, I hadnt had much time with most of my new teammates, but lately I have been blessed to
have had the opportunity to see their beauty up close. I've been admiring them (not in a creepy way..) and
have realized how many adorable/stunning moments/expressions they have that they never get to see!
And so here they are.. The RAW, FIERCE beauties!!
