Nicaragua is a completely different experience from the last two countries we have visited. So many cultural differences, as well as differences in ministry.
The culture here is so friendly. No need for an invitation, just stop on by and say hello (which indicates that you intend to stop and have a full conversation) or say a quick “adios” (or as the locals pronounce it.. “adio”) implying that you’re just passing by. Much like the Assyrian culture (and many other cultures, I’m sure) everyone here knows each other. Even when they don’t, they still acknowledge each other as they pass with a warm smile, a friendly wave, and an ever considerate “adios!”
The women and children here are so loving. They are constantly hugging and kissing us! Every other phrase they use is “Dios le bendiga” which means “God bless you”… (By the way, the appropriate response here is “Amen” meaning “Agreed! God has blessed me!”) How great is that…I might take that one with me!

Our ministry this month has been really different in comparison to the last two. This month we have been given the awesome opportunity to choose our own from of ministry based on our interests, spiritual gifts, and where we feel the Lord is leading us to serve.
A few of us have been on prayer walks, some of us have hadcooking lessons as a form of fellowship with some of the

I am so excited to see the Lord show up this month through using all of our differences to impact this community in SIX different ways!
