The other day a beautiful new friend from Sweden was sharing part of a revelation she received years ago. She told me how she had felt called by the Lord to go to school to study nursing. She did so. During her time there she felt a call to Romania, so she went briefly. When she came to Romania her call felt more confirmed but she continued to finish school. After graduating and getting a job as a nurse she again heard the Lord calling her to Romania. This time she believed she needed to leave nursing. She prayed that if that is what God wanted He would confirm it so strongly, because she knew God had called her to nursing.

At the beginning of this journey to Romania she asked an elderly lady to pray with her. The lady did not know her and did not know the details, but only knew to pray about her past and her past decision. The lady began to intercede for her asking God tough questions. She asked if she had disobeyed and wasted time.

God responded, “I do not waste time.”

What a relief, what a joy, what a treasure.

God does not waste time.

Today God does not waste time. He does not waste his time and He does not waste our time or our situations. We can never choose something that makes it impossible for God to redeem and to interact. He longs to be a part of every aspect of our lives. Maybe there are times we do not make the best decision, but that does not mean God will not continue to meet us, teach us, love us and use us.

I am so thankful that I get to serve a God that creates every single day with so much purpose. If He did not have a purpose for the day, I think we would just skip it. We may not always see the point of the day, it may to learn to be patient and faithful, but I have to believe God does not waste time. And I pray to learn to be more aware and in tune to His Spirit and His leading in every day and in every situation.
