During the day I have the pleasure of working part time at  Zion's Cafe in Chang Mai, Thailand.

Initially, my thoughts toward this were, "what the heck am I doing in the service industry again??!!!" You see, I have been working in restaurants as a server for the past 7 years of my life. When I finally left my last serving gig in Los Angeles, I said I would never see the restaurant industry from that side again. I was to be served and never again a server.  I was exhausted and done with the service industry. "Never again will I work in a restaurant unless I'm owner…HA!!!!"

Psalms 2:4 "He who sits in the heavens shall laugh…"

And after God finished laughing, He gave me revelation…

For the past 7 years I have used my skills of serving at restaurant chains that had one modi operandi: to make money hand over fist profitting for their own benefits. Finally I have come across a rare opportunity: to use my skill sets, not for the gain of money, but for the gaining of souls.

Zion's Cafe was founded by a woman named Emmi, who was sold into sex trafficking at the age of 11. She was miraculously bought back and given to a Christian orphanage. Through this orphanage she began her relationship with Christ. Many many years later, she was given the opporutnity to own a cafe and employ girls who were trafficked, offering them a way out, shelter and a means of income.

We helped her launch her Grand Opening. Her cafe sits right in the middle of the red light district. On her roof top every morning and night we pray and intercede for Thailand. During the day, she opens her cafe doors, with Christian worship music playing, hoping that the Thai people will enter in and encounter the only Wise God.

I get to part time work, for free, with Emmi and forward the vision of God in Chang Mai, Thailand.

I suppose there is a method behind God's madness:-)
