“The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!” (Mark 1:15)
When I first said yes to going on the World Race, I knew we had to do a ten-day training camp at Adventures in Missions Headquarters in Gainsville, GA. You know those times in life when you just know this is where you’re supposed to be? This is definitely one of those times! I feel the Lord filling my heart with pure love and joy! Now that it’s finally time to head there, here are some questions many people asked me.
Q) How are you feeling?
A) To be completely honest, my heart is racing, and I love it! Some may call it nerves, but for me, it means I am finally finding where I need to be in life. I’m so passionate about what the Lord has done in my life, that I can’t help but be this excited for the journey that’s up ahead.
Q) What will you be doing at Training Camp?
A) Training Camp is a mock trial of what life will be like on the field. So, we will have to hike 2.2 miles in under 38 minutes with our packs, as well as 2-day men’s retreat in the mountains. We will be learning about the different cultures we will be serving and how to adapt overseas. Also, we will be practicing living in our tents and bonding with our teammates. But, more importantly, we will be spending the next ten days listening to our Father and letting the Holy Spirit guide us on this journey. For every moment is ministry time!
Q) Will we be able to contact you at training camp?
A) Unfortunately, you will not be able to contact me. This training camp is preparing us for what life is like on the field, so you will just have to wait until training camp is over.
Q) What can we be praying for?
A) Please pray that I fully surrender everything to the Father and let go of my fears of being accepted by my peers and mentors. Pray that the Holy Spirit fills me with the strength and compassion needed to serve others. Also, pray for safety for everyone attending this training camp.
Lastly, thank you to everyone who has made this World Race experience possible! I’m forever humbled and moved that you all have trusted our Father so much, that you’ll have made donations to make this trip possible! I’m so grateful to have each and every one of you in my life! I love you all so very much!
“If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” (Matt. 21:22)
