As I’m about to head off to Atlanta on Friday to launch on my 11-month mission trip, I have some last thoughts I wanted to share with my readers.
Let me first start off by giving praise and love to my supporters! Thank you to all those who have donated to this 11-month mission trip, I couldn’t have done it without you. We have raised over $15,000, which means I’m less than $3,000 from being fully funded. This is amazing. And, as I leave town in 3 days, I take time and reflect to see how God has changed and shaped me over these past few years. I challenge everyone who is reading this to take time and see how God has used and changed you! And the most fantastic part is He is still not done.
Now, I make these vows:
I won’t disregard where I have been and where I’m going.
I won’t forget all the sacrifices that many of you all have made for me over these years.
I won’t ever overlook the memories that we created.
I won’t forget everything I have learned from my pastors, teachers, and mentors.
I won’t be closedminded and self-centered.
I won’t be apprehensive about learning new ideas and diving into the different cultures.
I won’t be afraid to live in a community and work together as one body.
I won’t be frightened to go into the world and proclaim the truth of Jesus Christ.
I won’t forget what it truly means to be a discipline of Christ.
I won’t be scared to let the Lord work through me.
I won’t be timid to defend my faith.
I won’t stop listening to God.
I won’t ever give up on the lost and forgotten.
I won’t stop loving people the way Christ loves me.
“Life is missions, and missions are life!”
No matter where you are, know that every day is a chance to change yours and someone else’s life. Be brave, and courageous for we can heal this world!
God bless you all.
