Hello, everyone!
Welcome to my blog! My name is Chandler Whidden, and I’m 25 years old from Sarasota, FL. I have been a Christian for quite a while and have lived my new life serving and enjoying God. Yet, there has been something inside of me that is craving more. I fell a major disconnect between what I knew to be truth and what I’m experiencing in my daily life. I know that the World Race is the next step in my faith’s journey from my head to my heart. I have always had a sense of adventure to me, and this year I have never felt such a calling to go. I heard about the World Race this past year from a dear friend and teacher (she knows who she is lol, LOVE YOU!) and it has been such a journey getting to this point. I’m so amazed by God’s pursuit after me to do the World Race and how He has been in every little detail preparing me to go. Jesus calls us to go and make disciples of the nations, so that’s that, and here I go.
Now I have a burning desire inside of me to see the Love of God spread like wildfire. This world needs a change! I will walk in constant obedience to the Lord, and I will never stop showing the Love of God to those who feel unloved. God is Love, and His love is very different from human love. God’s love is unconditional, and it’s not based on feelings or emotions. In one of the most well-known “love” verses in the Bible, Jesus said: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). God’s love for the lost world was shown before the lost believed in Jesus. John further explained this situation when he wrote: “In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins” (1 John 4:10). He doesn’t love us because we’re lovable or because we make Him feel good; He loves us because He is love. Now, I’m on a crazy, free journey with the Lord and I wouldn’t have it any other way! Come along for the ride with me. I hope you all will support me through prayer and financially if you feel called. Partner with me to bring real change to all over the world! We need to take care of those who have been lost and forgotten. I see and hear them, and I will not give up hope in humanity!
My primary purpose of this mission is to bridge the gap between all faiths and communities. We live in a time that needs positivity and love more than ever! We all must remember, Love is LOVE! Always and FOREVER! I want to be a light where every it is needed the most! I hope you all will help me as I take a leap of faith and begin a journey of a lifetime!
