Dear Chris & Mike,
As you may or may not have heard I've leaving the U.S. for a while. 11 months to be exact. But before I do, I wanted to get this off my chest. Matthew 5:23-24 says “Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift. This is simply saying that if you are trying to sacrifice something in your life to Christ, yet know someone isn't pleased with you, to go first fix that relationship before offering the sacrifice. Well here I am attempting to do just that.
I won't lie, you both hurt me deeply by your actions. However, according to the word of God which I do my best to live by, that doesn't matter. Last night during our training session, Bill our speaker, talked about unforgivingness and the bitterness it can cause. I completely agree cause I've felt it! Like a cancer it spreads into other areas of the body causing harm and affecting the joy I can allow into my life. Long story short this is overdue and I'm simply tired of being upset with you both. I lost two great friends that I went through a lot with in the process. I don't want to carry this unforgivingness, like a weight on my shoulders anymore and I won't. I forgive you.
With that being said, I also ask for your forgiveness. I'm sure you feel similar to how I did! I'm sorry that my words and/or actions caused harm and I hope you know that was definitely not my desired intention. I hope you both are doing well, and I pray that at some point these once strong friendships can be restored to what they once were. That is totally within the realm of God's power, after all…what isn't, lol?!
