HELLO to all my family, friends & supporters! I've got some exciting news! In order to raise money for my quickly approaching 11 month mission trip, I have started three different fundraisers to help raise support.
First my official World Race t-shirt! On the front is the slanted WR (World Race) and inside is the 11 countries I will be serving in. On the back you will also find my blog (chandlerkeenan.theworldrace.org)which you can subscribe to and stay current with what I will be doing when I'm gone. Also on the back is a flat picture of Earth and I had each country I will be serving in marked in case you're a little rusty with your geography :). Lastly, you'll find Isaiah 61 which does a great job of suming up what my journey is about!
Second would be "Kingdom Journeys" by Seth Barnes, the founder of The World Race. Do you feel like you've been missing out on the abundant life? Most people do. If you take a look at the life of Jesus, you see that he called his disciples to follow him – on a physical journey, not just a spiritual one. Hundreds of books talk about our faith walk as a journey. But few delve into the subject of how a physical journey can reinvent and revitalize our spiritual journey with God. Kingdom Journeys is about the journeys we all take, presented in a series of "initiation steps" by disciples who are taking serious the call to leave everything and simply "go." This book is an exploration of an ancient spiritual discipline we must recover – if we're going to truly follow Jesus. Side note: I just finished reading the book and I highly recommend it and not just becuase I'm selling it, lol. It is written from the perspective of past/then current racers. It's really insightful if you want to know more of what my life will look like for the next year!
Lastly, my wristbands! It reads "The World Race" on one side and "I Support Chandler" on the other. I have both men's and woman's/youth sizes :).
I feel like the shirts and wristbands turned out pretty awesome, and the Kingdom Journeys book is a great read! Let me know if you would like any of these.
